Singleton Reels needed to expand, but its location in Mantua Township, due to its lack of public water, was not the right spot. The company identified a location, with the help of Jack Kohl Realty, in Rootstown Township on Lynn Road. Curtis Layer Design/Build, Inc. will build a 90,000 square foot building for the company on this site. PDB worked with Rootstown Township, Rootstown Local Schools District, Portage County, Portage Community Bank, Alloy Development Company, and the Portage County Port Authority to assist Singleton Reels. The project will keep 20 and create 7 new jobs in Portage County.
