Portage Development Board Distributes PPE Toolkits to Portage County Small Businesses

Ravenna, OH – The Portage Development Board is assisting in the final distribution of the PPE Safety Toolkits, donated by JobsOhio, to our local small businesses! The donations will provide businesses of 100 employees or fewer the much-needed PPE in order to continue to operate within the state’s safety guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The PPE Safety Toolkits contain 100 disposable masks, 10 N-95 masks, and 24 ounces of hand sanitizer.

“The Portage Development Board is happy to help our local small companies in this state effort. We are proud of the way our employers have prioritize employee’s safety and have adjusted to state requirements to remain operational” said Brad Ehrhart, president of the Portage Development Board. ”So far we have been able to successfully connect 20 Portage County companies to a PPE Safety Toolkit.”

This JobsOhio program is coordinated at a regional level by Team NEO and the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce. As part of this state-driven initiative, 15,000 toolkits were made available throughout the state, 4,500 of those were allocated to northeast Ohio businesses.
