Portage County commissioners on Thursday approved a Community Reinvestment Area agreement for Oldcastle Lawn & Garden at the old Trelleborg site on Route 43, near the Portage/Stark county border.
The 10-year CRA agreement gives Oldcastle a 50 percent tax abatement on $2.2 million in improvements planned at the site, said Brad Ehrhart, president of the Portage County Development Board. The total investment in the project is estimated at $5.5 million.
