Ken Rice approached the Portage Development Board in April 2015 with a plan to acquire and save a machine shop located in the City of Tallmadge. He needed assistance to put together the financing to complete the project. PDB connected Ken to Cascade Capital Corporation and Neighborhood Development Services, which with a local bank helped Ken to close on the deal by the end of August 2015.
